RaiPlay Sound: radio e podcast 5.5.3

RaiPlay Sound is the new free multimedia platform from Rai dedicated to listening. It offers original audio podcasts, available for streaming and offline listening, as well as live streaming and on-demand listening to shows aired on the 12 Rai radio channels. The catalog of available titles is enriched with archival content, film and fiction audio descriptions, and podcasts of the most well-known Rai TV programs.

RaiPlay Sound, also available for Wear OS, is easy to use and does not require registration for both live channel streaming and most on-demand audio content. However, we invite you to register and log in with your Rai account in order to utilize additional features that will personalize your platform experience and allow you to listen to your favorite podcasts even offline.

RaiPlay Sound replaces the RaiPlay Radio App. If you already have a Rai account that you used on RaiPlay Radio or use on RaiPlay or RaiPlay YoYo, you can continue to use it on RaiPlay Sound. If this is your first time accessing Rai's multimedia platforms, please register and create your own Rai account.

From the top of the RaiPlay Sound homepage or the "Channels" section, you can easily access the live streaming of the 12 Rai Radio channels (Rai Radio 1, Rai Radio 2, Rai Radio 3, Isoradio, Rai Radio1 Sport, Rai Radio 2 Indie, Rai Radio 3 Classical, Rai Gr Parliament, Rai Radio Kids, Rai Radio Live, Rai Radio Techetè, Rai Radio Tutta Italiana). By selecting a live channel, you can also view the schedule for the current day and the following week, as well as listen to episodes that aired in the last 7 days.

From the radio live player, if the program has already started, you can listen to it from the beginning and return to the live stream by selecting the appropriate icon. You can switch to car mode, change the live channel, view upcoming events in the schedule, share the live stream, access information and podcasts about the program on air, and set the sleep timer.

In the "Explore" section, you can search for content of interest (by title and keywords) and discover the catalog of titles organized by genres and subgenres for streaming.

By logging in, you can add podcast titles that interest you to your favorites using the "Follow" feature, and select the content available for download in the app to listen to offline. From the on-demand player, you can share the content you are listening to (even starting from a specific minute), move on to the next episode, and add it to your playlist. You can also use the new "Bookmark" feature to add a marker to a specific point in the content you are listening to, add a note to it, and easily find it in the "My Podcasts > Bookmarks" section (for quick access or sharing).

In the "My Podcasts" section, you can manage and modify your listening history (to easily resume where you left off), the podcasts you follow, bookmarks, playlists you have created, app downloads you have made, and use the alarm clock feature.

In the "More" section, you can access your personal Rai account management, FAQs, "Contact Us" form, and set your device's data consumption related to using RaiPlay Sound (wifi only or also on mobile data).

The RaiPlay Sound app is available for free on Android devices from version 5 onwards (tablets, smartphones, smartwatches).
